Hello!

Hi ladies, my little Mr 1y.o. is about to start cows milk and although I know it’s got to be full fat I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a brand that works for them or if any full fat milk will be OK. Which is the best brand of cows milk for a 1 year old?

  • We get any but usually the woolies brand one or whatever is on sale

  • Just whatever had the lowest protein amount

  • A2 milks hands down

  • Normal cows milk

  • . normal cows milk

  • My toddlers are boobie monsters but if I had to use cows milk I’d go for organic unhomogonised. That way it’s got no nasties and the least amount of processing. :)

  • Any fresh full fat cow’s milk should be ok unless he has allergies or intolerances.

  • Any really. Just adding it in gradually will help

  • Any full fat milk really. My kids don’t notice the difference between different brands, and a lot of the expensive ones aren’t necessarily any better.

  • For full cream the kids have been drinking Select/Coles homebrands for years. I don’t see any different unless the cows are special in some way ….

  • Any milk is fine, though some people prefer A2 as it is meant to be gentler on little tummies.

  • Any that are permeate free, other than that milk is milk isn’t it?

  • My son was allergic to his formula, eventually when we worked it out, I sheepishly admitted to trying cows milk and it had resolved all the problems we had, his paediatrician said it was fine but to make sure that I used the full cream ones, A2 was an option but not needed unless he had issues with the milk, which he did not, he also recommended some vitamin drops from the chemist to put in the milk. Apparently my mother assures me that the drops were used always before we had the amount of formulas available and when every family had a cow to get milk from!!!!

  • Supermarket milk has been fine to date but A2 would be my preference.

  • A2 is by far better, its been proven!!

  • Any A2 milk is good if you can afford it.

  • I just used the Coles brand full cream milk:) $2 for 2 litre

  • most milk is the same just see how u go.

  • I am planning to just use the normal full fat ones.

  • We just use normal full fat milk and it works fine :)
