Hello!

Hi mums just wondering who makes their own yoghurt from scratch? I have done the whole easiyo, wanting to make my own yogurt from scratch and wanting to know how other mums do it not using the easiyo insulated container as mine no longer holds heat for long have heard about doing it in the oven just with the light on. Have also been checking out lots of the electric ones online but so many so thought I would get some opinions here first thanks in advance.

  • A good question as l always buy mine!

  • My dad used to make a yoghurt-like mix called kefir. You get the granules (jelly like bean things) you add milk let it sit and voila…there it is. Sugar free, flavouring free, preservatives and additives free

  • No, but I’ve been thinking about it.

  • Good question; would love to know too! Following this question/answers.

  • Have you thought of sitting your easiyo on a hot pack and wrapping it in a towel?

  • I’ve made it a couple of times with my thermo. It’s actually really easy and delish.

  • Also following as would love to know best way to make own yohgurt . We go threw so mu h in this house.

  • I have a Bellini and make my own yoghurt and custard its great and so easy to do.

  • I’ll be following this post. I often make the Easiyo yoghurts which are great but I’d also like to try it from scratch.

  • I make yoghurt in my thermomix, and then incubate it in a thermoserver in the oven overnight. So I put my oven to 50 degrees to heat up, then turn it off. Wrap the thermoserver in a tea-towel and pop in the oven overnight. It works out great!
