In our cleaning business we use hot water with detergent and a little bit of white vinegar with a window cleaner/squeegee. For the windows that are eye level I usually use white vinegar and soft paper towel to get a streak free window.
At home we use windex with paper towels
My mum always taught me first sponge it with Washing-up Detergent, then sponge it with diluted vinegar and dry it with news paper. But often enough I just do it with diluted vinegar
Rise with water, scrub dirt and rise it again. (Use garden hose if you have one)
Then clean with dish washer liquid and wiped it with microfiber cloth or use some old clothes.
I hate window cleaning with a passion! So when I can I pay someone to do it! But if that isn’t an option I just use windex and a rag. I’ve used the sprays you can get at bunnings and they just don’t do a great job.
