Hello!

My nearly 3yo son has started limping. He hasn’t had a fall and says nothing is sore. He is constantly falling down and scrapping his knee. I’m worried it might be serious. Am I over reacting? Should I be worried that my 3year old is limping?

  • Please take him to a pediatrician immediately

  • I’d take them to get checked out by a dr.

  • Talk to your CHN or go about it, it may be something it may be nothing.

  • Hopefully you have some answers by now but the best thing you can do when your motherly instincts is worried is to take him to a friendly and paitent GP who can thoroughly examine your child and follow up on your concerns.

  • Doctors for sure to sort it out!

  • An older post so I guess you have it all sorted now, however I would not have hesitated to take him to the Doctor.

  • If in doubt always see your Doctor and ask for a X-ray. You must get to the bottom of this. We found out a lot later that my son had a tumor in his heal. They said he may have come down hard on it at some stage to cause the trauma. It took years before he had pain and then a X-ray revealed the tumor. How is your son now?

  • How is he now – still limping?

  • no harm in getting these things checked

  • How is he now? Did you take him to the doc?

  • how did it go? :)

  • How did you go? Did you find out why he is limping?

  • Probably best to see your Doctor, they may do an X-Ray just to be sure

  • I hope everything is ok – I would see your GP if you are concerned.

  • You are not over reacting, it could be something serious, I would get it checked out by your doctor.

  • Could have a problem with his hips or gait. Take him to a podiatrist, they would be the best ones to assess your son.

  • I would be very concerned I would have him off to the dr ASAP…. Could be anything…

  • I would be worried, he could have a hip problem and it needs to be rectified as soon as possible

  • If you have found the answer I’d love you post details.

  • Wanted to know aswell, thanks for posting.
