An $8 tray from Kmart is changing the way that mums entertain and mums are creating the most spectacular grazing platters on a tight budget.

Grazing platters are the latest trend to take the entertaining world by storm – but creating these Instagram worthy snack boards often comes with a hefty price tag. Thankfully, Kmart mums have discovered the perfect platter that costs under $10 and can be used again and again!

Pretty And Practical

The tray is made from a dark iron sheet, and comes with timber handles on either side which make it a breeze to move, avoiding the chaos that usually unfolds when trying to manoeuvre graving plates – picnic in the park anyone? Not only that, but the tray holds a significant amount of food so you will only need a few of them to entertain all your friends and family.

Some mums have created a savoury feast, filling their trays with cheese, crackers and olives, while others have used the tray for a chocolate selection that would be the star of any kids party!

We think this tray has such potential, and for mums who hate mess, it keeps everything contained so you won’t have a table covered in wooden boards and stray food – plus it makes ‘bringing a plate’ so much easier!

  • Think I’d leave off the tray as many lollies as the ones pictured have – but a great idea otherwise.

  • I haven’t seen these before. They look like a great idea! A fruit platter would be great as well as those already suggested. I can see these being themed, eg: food the colours of your favourite footy team, or Christmas, or Easter.
