I love how the Spice Tailor gets so much flavour into your cooking with minimum effort. This Bengali Coconut Dahl was super authentic with strong rich flavours and was thoroughly enjoyable.

I was a bit sceptical on how my family would go with this one. It was pleasantly surprising. A great aromatic dish. We had it with chapatis, chopped tomato, avocado and basmati rice. I’m always looking for a meat alternative a few nights a week and this hit the spot.

We bought this Spice Tailor Dahl on special to try for something different, and my husband in particular loved it. It’s mild and nutty in flavour, and I think kids would find it a good starter food for trying Indian food. In terms of cooking it, it was really quick and easy to sizzle the spices, then add the presoaked lentils. It came together in under 5 minutes. We enjoyed it with rice, naan and chicken.
