This smoked salmon is basically pieces. I wouldn’t serve it for guests but for cooking in quiches and other dishes its absolutely fine. The flavour is good – not fantastic, but you are getting what you pay for.
I used to buy this regularly instead of the normal smoked salmon slices as it was cheaper but still good quality salmon. Now the packets are full of the brown and stringy parts and it’s not nice to eat. Very poor quality and I just go to the fishmonger as it’s cheaper per kilo there anyway!
My family and I love the Tassal Smoked Tasmanian Salmon. We use it on pizzas, in wraps, on crispbread and on jatz bite sized biscuits with cream cheese. Yum!!! My teenagers are just happy to pick up a small slice from the pack and eat it on its own. To buy Tassal Salmon for Cooking is definitely buying value for money.
Our family loves this product – it lasts for a long time in the fridge and is always on hand to make cream cheese and salmon pizzas, risotto, creamy pasta and quizza – we wouldn’t be without it.
