Curry in a hurry! Naan bread in a hurry, too!  Only 4 ingredients, within 30 minutes, and you can make lovely naan bread using Greek Yoghurt.

Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 200g self-raising flour
  • 140g Greek Yoghurt
  • 2tsp salt
  • 1 1/4tbsp olive oil

  1. In a medium bowl, place all ingredients and knead dough for 5 minutes or until smooth. (if the dough is still too sticky... add more flour)
  2. If you have time… cover the bowl with cling wrap and rest for 15 minutes.
  3. Divide the dough into 4 portions and roll each portion into an oval shape with rolling pin or your hand.
  4. Heat tiny amount of oil in a frying pan over high heat, cook naan bread for 5-6 minutes, flip it, and cook both sides. (if you use non-stick frying pan, you don't need oil)
  5. Serve warm with your favourite curry.

You can add garlic or dried herbs as well.

  • Why am I buying ready made nan from the shops that usually never taste good, when this is so simple to make. I’m going to have to give this one a go.

  • I had no idea naan was so easy to make! I reckon you could add in extras to this base recipe like cheese and garlic – yum!

  • Yum! I have all these ingredients so definitely trying this today!

  • Might have to try and make a gluten free version of this.. stuffed with cheese and melted butter with herbs and garlic on top

  • Wow! So simple and easy.
I didn’t know it was that easy to make Naan. If I had’ve known I wouldn’t have bought a pack and just make it myself!

  • I love naan bread. It’s just fabulous.

  • Thanks for posting this easy to follow recipe. I added some cheese for some gooey fun. Its delicious

  • Nice and easy. I use something similar for pizza dough.

  • Oh yum! This looks delicious

  • Wow I hope I can pull this off as we love a naan with our curry!

  • I make a very similar dough bit for pizza bases! Love that it is easily interchangeable

  • I tried this dough recipe but I must have done something wrong because my dough was very sticky and difficult to roll out even after adding so much more flour.

  • I make a lot of dough like this. Very tasty

  • This really makes me want to make a curry now and this naan I might be able to make taste authentic.

  • Easy, quick and looks delicious! Looks like a great recipe idea to try out with family & friends over the holidays.
