A healthier option to a fried donut, these quick and easy baked donuts are tasty and look great!
Ingredients (makes 7 palm sized donuts)
- 150g Plain flour
- 1/3 cup Caster sugar
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1/4 cup Milk
- 50g Butter, melted
- 1 egg Lightly beaten
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 150g Chocolate, melted (To decorate)
- Decorations of your choice
Method
- Pre heat oven to 160 degrees fan forced
- Combine flour, sugar and baking powder in a bowl. Make a well in the middle and add in milk, butter, vanilla and egg until smooth
- Spoon into a sealable plastic bag, then cut 1 corner to make a hole. Pipe into your donut tray and bake for 10-12 minutes or until a skewer inserted into doughnuts comes out clean.
- Dip cooled donuts in melted chocolate, and decorate how you wish
Notes
Un-iced donuts can be frozen and then thawed and decorated when needed
