A delicious cookie with a warm gooey centre, serve with vanilla ice cream for an extra special treat
Ingredients (serves 8)
- 125 gm Butter
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/3 cup Caster Sugar
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 Egg
- 1 cup Spelt Flour
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/3 tsp Salt
- 1/2 cup NESTLE BAKERS' CHOICE Dark Chocolate Chips
- 1/3 cup Nutella (melted)
Method
- Preheat oven to 175C and line either a pie tin or cast iron skillet with baking paper and set aside. In a large bowl combine the butter, sugars and vanilla - whisk until light and creamy. Add the egg and whisk again until combined. Add the flour, baking soda and salt and mix until just combined. Fold in half of the NESTLE BAKERS' CHOICE dark chocolate chips and spoon half of the cookie dough into the prepared tin or pan.
- Melt the Nutella in the microwave for about 45 seconds until it becomes a thin runny consistency. Pour the Nutella over the cookie dough evenly, stopping a few centimetres from the edges. Top with remaining cookie dough, smoothing the final layer over with a metal spoon or using your fingers if need be. Sprinkle with remaining NESTLE BAKERS' CHOICE chocolate chips.
- Bake in a preheated oven for 25-30 minutes for a gooey cookie or cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes for a firm set cookie. Cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
