A quick and easy homemade pasta recipe using plain flour and eggs. Serve with your favourite pasta sauce for a delicious dinner.
Ingredients (serves 6)
- 4 Eggs room temp
- 375g Plain flour(can substitute 1 cup semolina for flour)
- 1/2 tsp Salt
Method
- On a clean bench sift flour and salt make a well in the centre for eggs. Lightly whisk eggs and place in the centre. Mix until ingredients combined.
- Lightly flour surface, then with the heel of your hand knead the dough turning it a quarter turn at a time. Dough should be smooth and elastic when finished. Kneading is about 7 minutes. Rest the dough 10 minutes in a damp tea towel.
- If you have a pasta maker roll out pasta by putting on a larger setting eventually rolling through a smaller setting. If not using a machine, flour a rolling pin and roll out by hand and cut to size. For ravioli cut into squares and seal with water, filling can be ricotta and cheese, vegetable or meat.
