You can make this using only the soup mix but I think its nice to add in some freshly cooked onion
Ingredients (serves 8)
- 1 Thinly sliced brown onion
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 pkt French onion soup mix
- 100g Sour light crream
- 100g Natural yogurt
- 1 bunch Garlic shallots finely chopped
- 1tbs Butter
- 1 Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Saute onion in the butter, when transparent add in minced garlic and a dollop of the sourlight cream, remove from the heat and stir in the soup mix
- Set aside to cool, when cooled stir in remaining cream, yogurt and shallots
- Place in fridge for at least two hours before serving
Notes
By using yogurt instead of all cream you reduce the fat content, dance a little and you can eat bickies and dip care free!
