A quick and easy healthy cold snack on a hot day!

Ingredients (makes 6 6popsicles)

  • 3 tsps apple juice
  • boiled water

Method

  1. Boil a full kettle of water and cool, find small popsicle moulds with a handle so your baby or toddler can hold it.
  2. Take the lids off your popsicle moulds, and put 1/2 a teaspoon of apple juice in, then pour in your cooled, boiled water and fill the moulds up. Simply put the lids on and put them in your freezer.

Notes

You can put any juice you like in, sometimes I juice my own fruits to mix it up. Orange juice is yummy too! It's also important that it's watered down for young babies, and if you decide to put more juice remember to brush your child's teeth after.

  • I do this with watermelon .

  • Is this actually healthy? I never give my twins juice. I prefer to freeze fruit puree like strawberry.

  • Liquid expands as it freezes. You must leave a gap at the top of the container. Do not fill it up to the brim. No matter how tight you put the top on, it is likely to come loose, possibly the side of the container too.
