These ham and cheese parcels are super easy to make and are a great snack or side.

Ingredients (serves 16)

  • 500g Ham (of your choice)
  • 1 1/2 cups Tasty cheese
  • 4 sheets puff pastry
  • 1 egg (beaten)

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Thaw out the pastry sheets and slice each sheet into quarters.
  2. Place ham in the center of the quarters. The cheese is then sprinkled on top of the ham. Fold the corners of the pastry over the ham and cheese filling creating a parcel/pocket.
  3. Place on a baking tray and lightly brush the edges of the pastry with beaten egg. Cook for roughly 10 minutes or until golden brown.

  • I think these puff pastry bite-sized savouries are yummy, of course, paired with a Sacred Hill Reserve Tawny port wine, it will be an enticing meal in and of itself. I think these ham and cheese parcels go well at kid’s parties, let’s hope the punch isn’t alcoholic party punch!
