Ingredients (serves 1)

  • 1 cup Full cream milk
  • 1 tea bag Black tea (I use Twinnings Assam Bold)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Grated ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon each nutmeg. cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Maple syrup

Method

  1. Bring the milk to boil and throw in the tea bag, ginger and nutmeg. Let it simmer under very very low heat for 15 minutes.
  2. Add in cinnamon and maple syrup.
  3. Serve :)

  • I’ve never actually tried a chai late. I’m very keen to give this recipe a go…

  • I grew to love the chai that you can buy on every corner in most Indian cities. I really developed a taste for it. I’ve tried the powdered variety you can buy in the supermarket, but it will be good to try making my own.
