A great recipe from scratch and I think would make a good addition to the BBQ menu

Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 500g Chicken breast, chopped
  • 1 Teaspoon Crushed garlic
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 Cup Fresh breadcrumbs
  • 2 Tablespoons Honey
  • 2 Tablespoons Sour cream
  • 2 Chicken stock cubes crumbled
  • 1 Tablespoon Finely chopped parsley

Method

  1. Place chopped chicken into a food processor and process until Minced. Add other ingredients and pulse until well combined.
  2. Divide mix into 8 portions and shake into patties.
  3. Preheat the oven to 180c (160 fan forced). Lined a tray with baking paper. Put patties on tray and spray with spray olive oil.
  4. Bake for 20 mins or until all cooked through. Turn over half way through cooking.
  5. Serve with salad and wedges/ chips.

Notes

I really enjoyed these and so did a couple of my kids but hubby thought they could of been better (no dessert for him that night)

  • I love the sound of these, and I reckon they’d be really nice with a little bit of chilli added. I’d like to try and cook them on the bbq too.

  • These looks delicious and I will try them. It’s pleasing to see that they don’t have eggs in them- yay for us as we can’t have them 🙂

  • These sound great for something different love that they use chicken breast and not chicken mince as I don’t find that very tasty. Can’t wait to try them, thanks for sharing. I wouldn’t be feeding my husband for the week if he said that to me lol!

    • Totally agree with you, I also am not a fan of chicken mince as after watching Jaime Oliver show on chicken nuggets you really don’t know what else of the chicken gets thrown in. I lvoe that I could cut off all the fat and only pure breast was whizzed up 🙂

  • Hubby is not always right as mine tends to only prefer steak or chops or roasts nothing chicken with him so he sais anyway. I will try them for the kids and myself, I am sure we will love them as the ingredients sound wonderful.

    • Sometimes they are just too hard to please aren’t they 😉 They are very set in their ways.
