The best “special treat” occasion burgers you’ll ever taste
* patties are even better on BBQ

Ingredients (makes 6 )

  • Beef mince 400g
  • Sausage mince 150g
  • Egg (1 medium for mince ) then 1 per burger
  • Worcestershire sauce 4 tbs
  • Soy sauce 2 tbs
  • Salt and pepper (A good sprinkle to taste)
  • Tomato sauce 2 tbs
  • Brioche buns 6-8
  • Tomato 1 large
  • Onion rings 1 bag
  • Camembert cheese Enough for 12-16 thin slices

Method

  1. Preheat your oven as per instructions on onion ring packaging
  2. In a large mixing bowl mix both types of mince, Worcestershire, Soy and Tomato sauce Add egg and salt and pepper Mix well until all combined
  3. Rinse salad leaves and slice tomato and Camembert
  4. Preheat your oven as per instructions on onion ring packaging Place onions in the oven and heat as per packet instructions
  5. Heat a flying pan with oil and put a medium pot of water in to boil. Make patties to preferred size and place in pan flipping once for about 12-15 minutes Place eggs in boiling water to poach
  6. Switch oven to grill and lightly toast brioche buns
  7. Heat another frying pan with a small amount of oil and lightly fry off poached eggs
  8. While burgers are still in the pan place 2-3 slices of Camembert on top to melt slightly
  9. Stack your brioche buns firstly with salad leaves and tomato Place cooked patty with cheese on-top Then place your onion rings and egg on top followed with a squirt of tomato sauce and a squirt of garlic aioli
  10. Serve with your choice of sides ( I've used extra onion rings and chips )

  • There is a lot on this burger. We’re always looking at new and different burger options. Last night we had fish cakes with lettuce, tomato and cheese burgers for dinner. I love that you can be creative and put anything on them.

    • I wish I could get mine to make me anything at the moment, I have bad late night breastfeeding cravings, if I’m lucky he’ll put a few slices of Camembert on crusty bread under the grill but I’d love to be served a burger lol….
