A really nice tea biscuit.
Ingredients (serves 20)
- 375g Plain flour
- 250g Butter
- 125g caster sugar
- pinch salt
- icing sugar for top
Method
- Preheat oven to 170C.
- Beat together the butter and sugar and then add the flour and salt.
- Roll out onto a floured surface and cut into shapes and put on baking tray.
- Bake in oven for 10 minutes. Then turn it down to 150 C for last bit of cooking approx 5 minutes.
- Cool then sift icing sugar over them. Store in an air tight container between sheets of baking paper.
