Quick, easy and delicious sweet treats that will impress!

Ingredients (serves 14 | makes 14 Oreo pops)

  • 1 Pack oreos
  • 1 Pack white chocolate melts
  • Lustre dust/edible paint/sprinkles
  • Lollipop sticks

Method

  1. Melt the white chocolate melts as per instructions (either double boiler or 1 min at 50% strength then 30s intervals at 50% in the microwave) until you reach a runny consistency.
  2. Gently insert lollipop sticks into the Oreos being careful not to break them. Gently dip each Oreo completely in the melted chocolate, allowing the excess to drip off. Alternatively, put a small amount of melted chocolate in the base of a silicon mini muffin tray, press the Oreo in, then top with melted chocolate.
  3. Decorate as you wish. I added some sugar sprinkles while the melted chocolate was still warm, then brushed mine with lustre dust once set. Done!

  • Easy and look very good as the ones in the cake shop

  • Wow! These look incredible!!!
I’ve always wondered how chocolate was coloured as I tried a couple of times with food colouring and the chocolate ended up curdling. Clearly I didn’t do my research lol.
But these are awesome – so good for something like a galaxy themed party.

    • If your white chocolate curdles or splits it’s because you’ve heated it too fast/too long. If it doesn’t go runny you can add a touch of vegetable oil and it will smooth it out (note, too much and you’ll taste it – yuck!).
When colouring the muted chocolate, best to use gel food dyes or edible dusts. You can always paint it once it’s set too. The attached photo is set white choc brushed with a few layers of lustre dust (you can get this from spotlight or cake deco stores)
      Enjoy!
