Ingredients (serves 2)
- 50grams Flour
- 50 grams butter
- 250ml Strong Beer (room temp)
- 250 grams Cheddar
- 2 teaspoons hot mustard
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
- black pepper
- Bread for toasting
Method
- Melt the butter and make a roux with the flour. Stir in the beer bit by bit
- Add cheese and stir until melted.
- Mix in the mustard sauce and pepper
- Lightly toast the bread, and spread the mix thickly. Place under a grill for a minute or two until bubbling
Notes
Dad made this once and accidently put in far too much mustard - it burnt for hours!
