It seems the fast, the furious and the powerful Sonny Bill Williams has a lovely soft underbelly; which he exposes whenever his gorgeous young family are anywhere nearby.

In November last year, the New Zealand born boxing and rugby star was preparing for an upcoming test match in Cardiff, Wales when his wife Alana Raffie went into labour with their first child.

Determined not to miss a second, SBW put every telecommunications device he had to good use and didn’t miss a moment of the birth by watching in real time online!

Within hours, he posted a precious photos of his daughter’s little foot on his Instagram account and wrote:

“Proudest day of my life” …

And added the Arabic hashtag ‘alhumdulliah’ which translates to ‘all praise and thanks to God’.

It seems life has been a fabulous ride since then. In an interview with the NZ Herald, SBW said he’s even enjoyed the dreaded sleepless nights.

“Sometimes I love it when you hear a funny noise in the middle of the night and you jump up and make sure they are still breathing.

“Life is a beautiful thing and I’ve definitely been blessed to have a child and I just want to be the best father I can.”

Wife Alana is just as happy; looking radiant with a smile a mile wide …

And we’d be all smiles too with this little cutie! Today Sonny Bill Williams shared the first photo of his now five-month-old daughter, Imaan.

She and Daddy are relaxing on an outdoor lounge and he’s the first to admit he’s under her thumb.  Posting “My lil boss lady” with love heart emoticons to follow.

Isn’t she gorgeous? Isn’t he gorgeous? Isn’t it just the type of photo we love to see our big strong sporting heroes sharing? Yes!
