My darling friend called dreadfully upset. There was something very very wrong with her little one. She had gone to change a nappy, and things were not right.

She told me she was rushing him to hospital. Over the course of the day I had regular, rushed phone call updates from her. The doctors were concerned, they were doing tests, he may have to stay in overnight. Through all this she could not get hold of her husband, so I had kept trying to call him for her.

Several hours later, she let me know he had not done another poo, but they needed to see what was going on – what should she do? I have no idea how to make a baby poo, I just know they will do so at the worst moment possible. I suggested she tell him it would be a bad time, she did and he did! Thankfully this time it was normal.

Finally her husband called me back – what was happening??? I told him where she was and off he rushed. Now the nurse had asked her what had the little one eaten and nothing she told them would have caused any issues.

Of course once hubby was there, he just happened to mention how much little one had loved the beetroot he had fed him.

So glad it wasn’t me!
