A New Prime Minister - Real Mum story on MoM

The viewing on the television last night was rather different and interesting to say the very least! Another leadership spill for the job of Prime Minister. Malcolm Turnbull is going to be the next Prime Minister of Australia once he is sworn in by the Governor General. I follow politics and to be quite honest am fed up with the lack of vision and party politics from all parties. I want a leader to get on with the job of leading our country and progress our country and display strong and sensible leadership. I will watch with great interest and see if anything changes with the newest leader in a long list of Prime Ministers over the past five years.

How many political parties actually as do they promise? Tax increases they very rarely drop. Look at the GST debacle. The Liberal Govt. stated there wouldn’t be one. That didn’t last long. It was only becuase of protests that some basic food items were exempted. Currently it is 10%. We were told it would never go higher than that. Recently there has been discussions in Parliament about increasing that. There was a few items that tax dropped when GST came in. e.g. essential motor vehicle parts…. Prior to GST the Sales Tax rates varied considerably according to what the items were. This was noticable doing the accounts even for small delis. My Grandma had a small deli and my Mum did most of the accounts, banking etc. It took her many hours more to do the Sales tax compared to the GST

  Stability would be good at this point and moving forward.
