We were at the park a few days ago, and another Mum came in with her little one and her new bub. My little one promptly fell in love! She oooohed and aaahed over this little 3 month old, played with her feet, touched her hands and kept saying “My baby!” Followed, for some reason with “Baby cry?” (she wasn’t crying at all!)
After half hour or so, the other Mum went to leave.
Oh Dear…
My child was jumping up trying to drag the little one out of her Mum’s arms by the feet, screaming “Don’t take my baby” . This poor lady was quite taken aback! I picked mine up and tried to explain this was NOT our baby, and she needed to go home with her Mummy.
After the lady managed to get out of the gate. my little girl clung to the gate, crying and sobbing “Baby come back! Baby come back!”
It took quite a while to settle her down. Since then, nearly every baby we see she runs up and looks, then, all disappointed says “Not MY baby…..”
I worry about what will happen when she finds one she decides is hers!
