"Batman" cake... takes 2, 3 and 4....

After finally working out Batman cake was spiderman…
We ended up with Spiderman cake for her actual birthday. The practice one came out purple, but the “real” one was fine.
Next playgroup -I went to recreate Spiderman, but No – we want a cake with a bat on it. Yes, an actual halloween style bat.
Did you know they make black food colouring?
And do you know what it looks like coming out the other end????????
25 cupcakes for kindy. Pink.
And when it came to the family party, she wanted Lightning Mcqueen…
She picked one that had a flat picture on it, not a 3D one thank god!
I made a cake, iced it, and put one of her Lightning McQueen toy cars on it.
She looked at it.
She looked at me
She looked at it , patted my back and in a very condescending tone (yes, my 3 year old does condescension perfectly) she said:
“Try again, Mum… Try again…”

Hmmmm, I don’t think I would be giving her a choice! Why so many cakes for one birthday? One for party and cupcakes for school etc

Oh my goodness – you’re practically a professional baker with all those cakes! The Lightning McQueen one sounded pretty darn good to me – loved the extra flare of the car on top.
