Hello!

You may remember my mother-in-law was diagnosed with a brain tumour last year. She is in aged care and has been getting worse as expected. She had to be moved to higher care as she was wandering into people’s rooms at night. We had to have her phone disconnected after she called the police to report a robbery at the aged care place. the robbery didn’t happen. She fell and broke her hip and required surgery.
This is so heartbreaking to watch her slowly lose her mind. My heart is breaking for my husband too

  • So very sad for all concerned. I’ve always said I would prefer to lose my mind before losing my body. But I’ve never really thought of the effect this has on loved ones. Now I’m no longer so sure

  • What a terrible situation. I can imagine she needs constant care. I’m sorry for you and your family. This is not how you want to see your loved ones ageing. :-(
