Have any of you mums had an abnormal smear? I did back in Feb and had an opp to remove my abnormal pre cancer cells and have an appointment this coming Monday to see if the cells grow back, I’m so nervous and worried that I will need another opp and if I do then my chances of having another child will be very slim as the operation removed some of my cervix so a second one will means I may not have a thick enough cervix to carry a 2nd baby. My mum has been through the same and just a month ago had a hysterectomy to stop the cancer….I’m so scared I will end up the same way. Is anyone else going through this? I’m only 23 and was 22 when diagnosed

  • I had abnormal cells after i had my son. I ended up testing as having CIN 3 cells and had them removed. Since then i have had another removal and am now a year clear

  • I have had abnormal cells removed since I was 22 (4 lots removed). I ended up carrying two gorgeous children to full term (without too many issues) under the guidance of my gyno. At the age of 33 I had a hysterectomy as it had come back and my husband and I made a decision that we were blessed with two children and this was the best option. While it was a long road of unknowing turns I can vouch that there can be happy endings :)
