Hello!

Hi Everyone,
Today I want to bring up the subject Christmas: what’s that I hear you say: “Christmas oh it’s so far away”. Well that would be my reaction anyway but how ever the stores have had Christmas decorations and the like up and about for weeks now. The supermarkets have aisles of Christmas goodies and fare. Decorations , trees, books , mince pies, cakes, puddings and Chrissy slices all to share. Today I received an email from a local shopping centre telling me to save the date: Sunday 13th November at 10am Santa will arrive and he will not be late. Santa in-store 6 weeks before Christmas, food in-store 31/2 months before Christmas, is there really a need ? but we hear the cries of the children, oh mummy please please may I have one they plead. Seriously I feel that we are plunged into the Festive Season way to early. Children are bombarded with sights of lights, shelves of elves and I feel that by the time Christmas really does arrive we are all well and truly over it. Christmas food out now could be so much fresher if indeed it was produced and displayed so much later than it is now. So do you feel Christmas is becoming to commercial and we start to early ? Are you like me and feel “The Reason for The Season” is becoming lost? Or do you love every thing Christmas and simply spend the first few months of the year counting down to the months, weeks and days when the shiny baubles and Christmas cheer appear. :-)

  • We love Christmas because it’s a time where the whole family gets together. Our reason will never change or become lost

  • We enjoy Christmas and become involved at Christmas time. We love the Christmas atmosphere, the carols and spending time with family in the lead up to Christmas and then being involved in the festivities and celebrations.
