Close siblings - Real Mum story on MoM

I have four kids. Their six, four, three and 8 months and although it is very hard work, Hubby and I are so happy and proud of how close and loving they are together. There was a big age difference between my sisters and I growing up so i ended up being more like a mother figure then sister to them so i always wanted to have my kids to be close in age so they can grow up together and have strong bond. I hope and wish that this bond will remain strong when their older and that their always there for each other.

My sister and I are just under 13 months apart, we really never got on together that well. We get along better with our younger siblings.
My children at the moment are 33, 31, 29 males, 14 girl and 3year twin male and female. Not planned that way My 3 older children are about 2 years apart and the one in the middle gets along with the other two but not as well as the older and young of this group, all males. Their 14 year old sister gets along with all 3 of them and is a mother type to the younger ones. The twins get along together in most things, love their big sister. Their older brothers are like good friends to them. My grand daughter 17 months looks at the twins as her best friends and enjoy their company.
All children vary in the way they react with each other, hoping your lot get along well.

I am one of 4 and I am a fair bit older than my 3 siblings (they are 6, 9 and 11 years younger than me). I always wished I was closer in age for the very same reason you described, I ended up being more of a mother figure. Unfortunately the big age gap for us was due to difficulty for my parents in conceiving and miscarriages. We are expecting our second very soon and we tried to have a smallish gap (just less than 2 years) so hopefully they will have a lovely relationship!

As parents we always hope well for our children . I found out the other day one of my hubs relatives has an oldest child who is 30 and the youngest is 7 because it was an accident .whoops she didn’t plan that she said lol !

That’s so nice for you. I have two sisters. One is 3 years older than me and the other 18 months younger. But I never created a very special bond with them.
