do you let your baby sleep on there tummy?

i have a 8 week old and ever since she was around 3 weeks she has been sleeping on her tummy. she hates sleeping on her back nd refuses to sleep. the dr said its noraml for babies to want to sleep on there tummys and that she will be ok on her tummy. But we hve to do a 4 hr trip every fortnight in the car and i want her to sleep in her car seat so i dont have to stop every half hr to comfort her. any suggestions. iv tryed toys above her and in front of her.

My son was premature and they always had him on his tummy to sleep, so when we got home from hospital thats how he wanted to sleep. It never affected his sleep in the car seat. Always slept well in the car, as long as he didn’t have wind.

if she is comfortable maybe just keep an eye all the time?

i put her on the back but they would turn and end up on their tummy

all my children and Grandchildren always slept on their tummy’s or side maybe try a top up feed before putting bubby in the car to see if that will help go to sleep. She may just be one of these babies that hate the car. I personally never had this problem but I did give some top up feeds before travel. Sorry not much help to you
