Domestic Violence - Real Mum story on MoM

How bad is violence getting toward women and children? Men who can’t cope with a relationship breakdown, hunt down the woman and stab her or beat her to death or shout her. Men who can’t cope with a child custody ruling, kill the kids and sometimes himself. Drown them ,throw them off a bridge, gas leak and blow them up, bash them to death with a cricket bat. It’s shameful! And yes, I know it’s not entirely men committing these offences, unfortunately they’re the ones making the headlines. How can we fix this? I’m at an end as to even know where to begin!

yeah we need to fix the families that we grow up in. a great deal of damage is done to people and they carry on the cycle of abuse.

I think I saw a commercial not long ago that the Government is cracking down on DV and giving women more rights . Hopefully it will be better than the old days where there are no rules and no hope of evening catching the perpetraters. Not sure but they might be putting more funding into DV as well .

This is a problem that needs to be addressed with education which starts in schools and continues as it is lifelong and needs to be spread throughout all communities. Attitudes need to change and people need to actively support and participate in activities that say “NO” to violence. Doing something is the only way to make change happen; support organisations that work in this area and let your voice be heard.

  I will never understand how a parent can kill a child just to get back at their ex, to make them pay for leaving them. They’re OUR kids for heavens sake. They’re there for us to love, nurture, protect. I’ll never comprehend the violence
