Ok so today I spent my day cooking and thought I would grab a recipe from the internet, I could not find one for cheese and bacon rolls on here so I googled it. Well it came up with the taste website so I cooked it. I did change the toppings to not only bacon and cheese but I added pineapple and feta as well and I thought it was going to be sensational, just like my local bakers delight maybe even better. Well they were yuck, topping was great but the bread part was awful but my dogs have enjoyed some of them, so that was good. I am never using that site again. If anyone does have a good recipe mix for the rolls can you please let me know. I was also going to add a photo as they did at least look great but I have just noticed that there is no option.

  • I find taste a pretty good website as it has lots of options, I am very culinary challenged and my dogs have declined my cooking on occasion so you’re a step up from me but I know what you mean!

  • Taste.com.au is usually reliable. I like to read reviews and see if others have had success with the recipe, especially if it involves expensive ingredients.

  • I hate it when that happens. Most internet recipes I’ve used have been trustworthy and eat worthy however, it’s unfortunate you got a dud. You should leave a comment on it so others don’t have the same experience.

  • So sorry for your disappointment, really is the pits when you spend so much time baking only to be resorted to bin food, although Kelly’s Yoghurt Dough sounds easy and very interesting.
Good luck on your next cooking adventure.

  • there is nothing worse than spending a lot of time making a meal only for it turn out bin worthy rather than plate worthy. Have had a few disaster myself.

  • i actually use a yoghurt dough its lovely and can be used for many these including bread rolls.

    440g self raising flour
320g plain yoghurt (natural or greek)
just mix them together and you ready to use it.
