England here we come! - Real Mum story on MoM

One more sleep, finally, after counting down what seems from 1000 we are going to see nana and pop pop in England, the kids are so excited they are going crazy! We still haven’t finished packing and every powerpoint in the house is occupied charging up some gadget or another! I am lucky enough to have the greatest in laws a person could wish for, and they love my kids as much as we do!! I am looking forward to relaxing and stepping back and letting them enjoy the kids as much as they like (I’m sure they’ll be the ones counting the day until we leave after a few weeks) – I love holidays!

Your story title caught my eye because I want to take my family to England for them to meet the baby!! I haven’t met my husbands grandad either. Hopefully you have a special time!

So close to home! After a stop over in Kuala Lumpur on our way home we were informed that the Darwin airport has closed to to volcanic ash so Malaysian airlines has put us up at the Marriott in KL, kids are having an amazing time. It’s wonderful, but after a month away I was really looking forward to getting home, fingers crossed for 2 days time

ohhhh a holiday to the Uk sounds divine, I had a little chuckle at every powerpoint in the house being used to charge, I have done that before

Well we made it here after a vey long day flying, our eldest was quite sick on the plane for the last couple of hours but recovered well! Malaysia Airlines are great with kids and plenty of entertainment, didnt even need the ipad. We are having a ball and are heading to Paris for a couple of days soon, so excited!

Have fun! I certainly don’t envy you the flight over but the time spent with the grandparents will certainly make up for it

  Flights can be good if you prepare and the airlines are brilliant at catering for children.
