Hello!

My boy just moved into a big bed so I had a cot to get rid of, then his baby pram has been gathering dust for a bit. My partner wanted to sell the stuff but I didn’t like the idea of haggling with strange men being in my house, which is probably what would have happened as my partner isn’t home a lot. The stuff seemed too good just to put on the side of the road though. Then I had the idea to see if a women’s shelter would want it. I rang the one near me and they said they would love to take it and even pick it up for me! So I said right, I’ll have a clean out to make the trip worth your while. I gave them clothes, toys, furniture, bedding, the works. They were over the moon and I got a de-cluttered house. If anyone is wondering what to do with their old children’s things, I highly recommend trying a women’s shelter.

  • that is a great idea! i bet they appreciate that as the kids go through this tough time with their family. you are very thoughtful and a mum out there appreciates it. can’t put a value on that feeling
