I currently don’t drive so my routine revolves around my pram, which would be fine if my child didn’t scream every time she is in it. Its comfortable in there and has toys to occupy her but its not enough. I also have to take the baby carrier everywhere I go unless I want to carry her the whole way. Im putting my foot down from now on and not giving into her because this is a habit that needs to be broken immediately . She has now also started screaming her lungs out every time my mum takes her in the car because she wants to be held. All I ask is that I don’t get the looks of bystanders with there judgmental looks on there faces when I let her cry it out.

How old is your little girl? Could you use other methods of transport/carrying?

My first hated his pram until about one. But he LOVED his carrier. We used it everywhere. I think your baby will be the same, look into getting one and save the stress on you both. Find one that doesn’t let the legs hang down, there are many out there, but many bad designs. Best things are thick padded shoulder straps, make sure it has good back support and that baby is carried in the way that her legs are comfy and her face is free from fabric.

Your not alone, not sure how old your bub is but my daughter was the same.. Absolutely couldn’t stand the pram. I’m only little myself so carrying her was not an option. Once she was 6 months we got her a smart trike & used that. If walking on pathways be careful as they are not so great negotiating gutters, etc.
