After many, many years of paying lots of money to have my hair foiled blonde I recently started doing my hair myself. First I had it what they call balayage or ombré at my hairdresser, then on a trip to my son’s hairdresser (they are something like hair house warehouse) we started discussing the very real possibility of me doing ombré at home. I had watched my hairdresser do it and asked questions. My son’s hairdresser gave me the exact formula instructions to mix up with a developer. The first time I did it the results were great and I couldn’t believe I had done it all by myself. I was style mostly blonde in an ombré kind on the mid to lower sections. So today after getting gamer and more confident I knew what sort of look I wanted and mixed two colours together. I wanted warmth, but with depth of colour. After all these years I’ve gone back to brunette and my hair is much healthier since I haven’t been bleaching and I now pay $27 to get my hair cut every 6 – 8 weeks, as opposed to almost $200. It was really more of a financial decision, as I just couldn’t bring myself to pay someone that amount of money, when it could go to other areas. Ps the grey coverage is wonderful
