I colour my own but I’m not brave enough to try to Ombre.

I would love to be able to colour my own hair but im just not game enough to do it.
well done tho for having a go and now it has paid off and you have extra money in your pocket

I actually haven’t had colour done for ages and my hair is a lot healthier than when I was colouring it!

Congratulations, I would love to have the confidence to do this, but I am going to have to age not so gracefully, I am seeing the grey come thru now, and it annoys me but my mum has gone grey and I suppose I have inherited these genes, if anyone asks I tell them I don’t like the chemicals in my hair, don’t really care but it shuts them up, especially after having it permed for about 15 years, and ironically when I stopped having it permed it actually has a wave thru it similar to what I paid a fortune for. My daughter has the same long wavy hair, but she straightens It daily, and blames me for her wavy beautiful hair. I still cannot believe that I permed my hair to its natural state for years!!! ripped off

That’s brilliant (especially about the grey coverage ) I colour mine at home using semi permanent only. Might be time to get creative…

I am thinking that come winter I will also go brunette again. Its way easier, you can do it less often and I can do it myself. The blonde on the other hand I have always been scared to do.

My husband colours my hair! Hairdressers charge way too much! When I do go in for a cut they always compliment me on my colour, my husband does a great job!

I used to colour mine myself but have decided I like the luxury and the way the hair dresser does it better. I need to cover the grey!

When the kids were little my friend was a home hairdresser, much much cheaper, when we moved from the home town i cut and coloured my own and the kids, have been to a hairdresser once in 20years and hated the cut, all my kids now do their own hair (son included) and sometimes do mine.

I’ve always coloured my hair myself, I could never justify the cost.

Good for you Hopefully Heidi I colour my hair myself too. You save heaps .I have a wonderful hairdresser that comes to my home and cuts my hair every 8 weeks . It costs me $25. She taught hairdressers how to cut and style hair. The last time she was here she had a spare 25 minutes so she popped my colour in for no charge! I was thrilled to bits!

  What a kind thing to do I now get my hair cut for just $27 at the same place that I take my son to occasionally. They were they people who taught me how to colour my hair. I’m actually so happy with the way she cuts it, and it seems to have more body and layers. The only problem is now I feel disloyal and bad for my old hairdresser that I followed around to different businesses until she started her own. It just came down to me not wanting the hassle of making appointments that were hard to arrange around work and my son and then the time spent – usually 2-3 hours and of course the main one – the cost.

I have found the problem with doing blonde myself was that I ended up with patchy bits all over the scalp. I guess ombre would solve that risk. Good on you.

I think I would be too scared to do it myself! Haha! But good on you! I don’t colour my hair as we cannot afford it so maybe once a year I get pampered like that.

I’ve always done my own hair, a few months back I though I’d treat myself, I paid $150 to sit their for 4 hours, to leave with my hair colour all blotchy and patchy and hair dye n my Facebook. Was so posses, will conitue to do my own hair.
