Hello!

My little one had his six month needles yesterday. Sleepless night and extremely clingy today. It’s the first time I have seen him like this following his immunisations. Just want to cuddle the pain and aches away for him.

  • Thank Heaven that you’re a responsible mother and you do believe in vaccinating your child. After-effects should only last a day or two, and your little one will be back to normal. Of course you want to hug the pain away, that’s part of being a mother.

  • I was the Mother that never took my child for a needle my Mother did or my Hubby did and I was the one that was happy to have them attached to me as long as they need to be

  • Its normal behaviour post vaccination & will only last 24-48hrs. It won’t be the first or last time you want to don the Super Mummy cape to try & save him from pain.

  • I have 4 children and I can count on one hand how many times I took them in for their injections.
I’m more than happy to have them straight after I just can’t handle sitting there holding them while it’s done.

  • Just remind yourself that he’ll be better for it in the long run – it does help you a bit, if not him!
