In March 2014 when I was 40 weeks pregnant my husband’s grandfather passed away after a short illness. A few days later we welcomed our son Sebastian into the world. He was their 16th great grand child and my husband’s grandmother Kathleen would always say that Sebastian was her favourite great grand child (although we couldn’t tell the others) because he had a cheeky smile that reminded her of Grandpa. In March this year Grandma Kathleen passed away very unexpectedly; I was 39 weeks pregnant. A few days later we welcomed our daughter Amelia into the world. They say that death brings new life and if that is true then my children are truly blessed.
