Junk Mail Addiction - Real Mum story on MoM

I’m just wondering do any other MoMs get excited about receiving their weekly junk mail? Mine arrives either Mondays or Tuesday & I virtually sprint to the mailbox in the morning to get it. I sift through it & place it in two piles 1) rubbish pile which usually consists of car part catalogues & 2) my supermarket & department store catalogues. I love sitting down with a coffee ,a biscuit & leisurely read my junk mail. Its my “me” moment. I won’t read it in a rush or if its not quiet. I need the serenity. The annual highlight to my junkmail addiction is the IKEA catalogue which is soon the hit our letterboxes. I can’t wait. Does junkmail make you feel excited like this or am I just weird?

This isn’t really a thing anymore I guess. The most that goes in the letterbox are real estates looking to shill their services

Your not the only one! I have the exact same procedure! haha! ….. i absolutely must wait for that quiet moment to leisurely look through it all…day dream and sip on a cup of tea

I always go through the supermarket “junk-mail” before I go grocery shopping. We keep a list on the fridge of things we need, and going through the catalogues means we save a heap of money by buying things when they’re on special. Our catalogue deliverer went on holidays for a month, and we really noticed the lack of catalogues.

We dont get roadside mail and only have our po box, and i was more than happy as i hated receiving the junk mail, not sure why, but my friends like you love getting all the weekly deals.

Oh no, I enjoy it too – and I’m so sad they don’t deliver the weekly catalogs to our area anymore!

I do this virtually – I sign up to different stores and labels and get their emails. It goes into its own mailbox and I get them daily. Love it!
