  • My dad always said that “age is not a barrier for education”. You can do anything if you put your heart into it. Go for it, do your best. I wish you success.

  • Your age is not what will hold you back. If you want it badly enough, then you go for it! Yes, it’s scary and makes you doubt yourself when you think about studying after so long. Yes, technology can be overwhelming, but you can do it. Work out where your interests lie, find out what courses are available at universities and TAFE colleges, and go for it! I really wish you all the luck in the world.

  • Education does not see ages, as long as you can do it and manage your time.

  • I would try at your local tafe you will find lots of courses.

  • You can do correspondence courses part time which is less overwhelming. You end up spending about 10 hours a week on the course.

  • I would go to your local tafe as they will be very helpful

  • There are a lot of courses you can do online. In our state (I would guess all states) anyone can do a certifcate I or certificate II for free – look up skills for all. A friend of mine did this, completed a certificate II free of charge, and is now in uni doing a course. Good Luck.

  • If your children is old enough then surely is possible. Course are very flexible these days (night course or short hours but longer semester course are available) and you can take it slow and manage your time well.

  • I am 41 and now currently finishing my masters of education…..and started uni at 35 prior. It will depend on the uni and the course, however if you show that you genuinely want to do your chosen field by a personal essay, the uni will offer bridging classes prior to your actual course starting. Also if you have any work experience in either the same or similar field can count. For example my sister knew she did not have the top marks to get into a course but she wrote a very detailed letter as to what her intentions were with that degree…..she got accepted and was offered bridging classes….she went on even further to a PhD and now works in Canberra …..myself I had to do a Tafe course to get into uni! So it can be done! All the best!
