Hi MOMS,
Well Michele Chevalley Hedge’s Low Sugar Lifestyle Program has ended and it has been a couple of weeks without her support our guidance and I am wondering how the other moms that won the program are faring.
I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and over the years I have learnt that greatly reducing my sugar helps to eliminate my fibro pain dramatically so when I had the chance to join in on Michele’s Program I literally jumped at the chance. I have to be honest and say I did expect a little more than the program delivered and I also have to say that I did find it a struggle for me personally. I am not a Coeliac but I am gluten sensitive and was under a nutritionist/dietitian for a while, she put me on a gluten free , low fodmap and lactose free lifestyle. I did have a bit of trouble with the recipes Michele’s Program supplied and found myself struggling at times, I had to use a lot of alternate ingredients and although Michele’s recipes and meal plans where tasty mine often lacked that wow factor. The low sugar program used a lot of onions and garlic and these are a no NO for folk on a low fodmap diet and these are only two of many. I did send off an email but really did not receive any help. I did how ever learn and picked up some tips and ingredients that have helped me greatly, I never knew about rice malt syrup and now this wonderful syrup is my number 1 go to. How did I not know about this sweet healthy sugar alternative before? I used stevia before but rice malt has changed my life and has become a love of my life. Reducing sugar really is a wonderful way to go and honestly I feel makes you more energetic. Clean fresh eating and reducing packaged food items has made such a good impact on my life, my cholesterol is normal and reducing sugar helps you loss a little weight as well..now that’s a bonus in its self.
So my fellow members, how has your journey been? Have you had a positive result? Are you still managing to stay on the program? What has been your ups and downs? I would love to hear your experiences and any tips or tricks you may have.
Wishing You All the very best of health.
