making bread in a crockpot - Real Mum story on MoM

Okay can one of the ladies whobelongs to this site give me some written help. I had a crockpot, but in it everything seems to taste the same so I gave it away… I now wish to buy another one, so who recommends what brand. I have seen on a website that you can make bread in a crockpot, and this I would like to do.. anyone tried it…. I believe there is also a book out by two you ng guys something to do with making bread in 5 minutes, I guess they would mean the shaping of the loaf to put in the crockpot. Need all the help I can get. Can borrow a crockpot to try the recipes, or if lucky enough may be able to try quite a lot of different recilpes in the Tefcal? one that the gals here have up for testing … thanks for the help in advance, I appreciate it always., remembering the old saying “Two heads are better than one” and in this case would definitely apply…. I always enjoy reading the reviews and finding more ideas with saving money….

Never made bread in one, but my mum’s friend makes cakes in hers all the time so I can’t see that there would be much difference. Have you tried googling it? I love my crock pot and use it at least once a week, summer or winter. I have a Russel Hobbs.

i had never heard of making bread in a crock pot. that is a pretty cool thing if you can do it. i would love to see someone post that recipe on this website

i didn’t think you could make bread in it .. i would try a tefal cook4me or a sunbeem

I have a crockpot, but I’ve never tried making bread in it. I’d also be interested in hearing anyone who’s had any success with it.
