Mother of the year - Real Mum story on MoM

I have never done anything super amazingly outstanding in my life. But I am a mum. Just looking at the ad on here go round Mother of the year. Thinking how nice it would be to have one of my kids nominate me for this. I wouldn’t expect to win, it would be lovely to be acknowledged as a good mum though. I guess I don’t really need it. Maybe one day

my children nominated me in 2015, and i went on to become a state finalist for south australia. i was overwhelmed, humbled, and felt that i really didnt warrant being a finalist in this comp.
having said that… i love my children for just nominating me

As long as you are mother of the year in the eyes of your partner and child/ren. They give you the biggest reward.

You’re right, you don’t need it. I’m happy knowing I’ve given perfectly wonderful human beings to society. That’s enough
