My daughter danced in Disneyland! - Real Mum story on MoM

Back in 2013 my dance crazy daughter auditioned for and was accepted to dance in Disneyland with her dance school.

From 2013 until April 2015 it was a long hard slog, in addition to her normal dance classes on Monday nights, Wednesday nights and Saturdays, we had to attend an additional two classes per week dedicated to the Disney rehearsals (usually on a Friday night and Sunday nights). Most nights we were there until 8pm.

Finally after many rehearsals and more DVD’s to send to Disney to show how they were progressing, we travelled to Disneyland Anaheim on April 10th 2015.

It was such an amazing unique experience, how many other kids can say they danced in the Disneyland street parade, on the stages in Disney and the stage in Universal studios.

I do admit I was frustrated at the hair and makeup calls and rehearsals when there, we did not get to see everything and missed a few things. However it was the most unique experience and seeing my daughter on stage brought tears to my eyes. I am so proud of her achievements, I cannot imagine where she will go next with her dancing!

That’s a brilliant story of how hard work and determination pays off. Congratulations to your daughter and you must have been beyond proud not only seeing her on stage but to watch her commitment for that amount of years. Thanks for sharing.
