Just realising that my kids now no longer need my help and I am feeling a little sad as they are now 20 and 18 years old and am wondering what to do with myself now that I have a little less responsibility I have to admit it is hard not to still baby them but I have realised that I now have to step back and let them grow I am thinking of volunteering but do not know what to do any suggestions would be much appreciated

  • So many places need volunteers. Be sure to choose something that interests you or care about.

  • I’m not looking forward to this, I told our daughter she can move out of home when she’s 30. lol!

  • I can’t wait til my kids grow up! All that free time to do things you want. Get a hobby, join a fitness group,or volunteer somewhere like Meals on Wheels, a hospital, organisations like The Heart Foundation, Salvo’s

  • Aww this is something im not looking forward to
I hate the fact that my kids are growing up. even though they are only 7 and 3 haha
but my 3 yr olds start kindy next yr and my 7 yr old is so smart and i want them to need me forever haha.
I worry about what im going to do with myself next year when they are at kindy as i have been at home for 7 years. I keep being told to find myself, learn about myself. find things i like to do etc etc so maybe thats what you can do. Start a hobbie :)
