Hello!

This year I registered my Mr 6 in Auskick. I’ve never been as keen or mad on footy like the rest of my family (this may have something to do with the club I support lol You could say they are not any real big winners).

Lately I’ve felt the need for Mr 6 to be part of a sports club and he had been showing a lot of interest in having a kick with the other kids at school. AFL it was. I registered him and he has taken to it really well and insisting on practicing every day.

I’m really proud of his efforts, especially knowing he is a busy minded little boy and has great difficulty concentrating and staying focused. I have to give credit to the kids Auskick coach, he is brilliant with the kids and keeping 50+ kids in line. He reminds me of the Pied Piper.

  • It’s great that you support your son in something that he has an interest in. Doesn’t matter if it’s football or chess, as long as the child enjoys it, and it’s good for them, encourage him all the way.

  • great team sport, any football code, kids learn fine motor skills, sharing and being part of a team, winning is not everything, playing with your mates and having fun is. A coach with good communication skills with young kids is invaluable.
