Hello!

This is an actual conversation I overheard between my daughter, Miss 7 and dad.
Daughter: dad, are old mates, crap drivers?
Dad: why? What makes you say that?
Daughter: because whenever mum is driving she says things like, “come on old mate, getting moving”… stuff like that.
Dad: yep, that’s what it means then.
I had to laugh. I never realised how much I say that am when driving, I guess it’s better than swearing!

  • Ha ha ha they really are sponges aren’t they, absorbing every little thing we say and do, even when we don’t think they’re listening or paying attention. Good thing you weren’t swearing, lol

  • Ha! Ha! that is rather cute! So many other words that can come out when driving the car! ;)

    • And sometimes those other words do come out…

  • Someone nearly crashed into me at speed (their fault), and I slammed on the brakes while shrieking the F word. And then I had to deflect questions from masters 7 and 4 about what it meant…
