Hello!

How heartbreaking this morning to wake up to the news of the executions of Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran. As Tony Abbott stated ‘No matter what you think of drugs and dug dealers, you have to feel for the families’. As a peripheral spectator, it has been sad to follow the story.
Imagine the anguish of the people who knew them, the family members. It is something that most of us will never have to endure.
I watched the SBS two part series A Better Man, which was based on the story of the last Australian executed in Singapore Van Tuong Nguyen in 2005. This gives you an overall idea what the process must have been like (minus the drama).

RIP.Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran.

  • So terribly sad that these 2 young men had to die this way as they both had rehabilitated & given back to the jail community with helping others. Execution isn’t the answer for their crime when terrorists & murderers have walked free in Indonesia. The Indonesian government needs a big shake up! RIP Andrew & Myuran & I pray for their families suffering so badly.
