Ohh casegirl you poor thing! I really feel there is such a strong emphasis on breast feeding that we really do beat ourselves up over it – and the negativity from some other mothers does not help at all! I think we all need to be aware that what is best for our kids is what we should be doing. If you can breast feed – fantastic – go foe it. If you can’t – so what!!! No child should go without while we try and please everyone else! When my bub was born, at first I could not do it(now i don’t seem to be able to wean…). I remember the poor nurse suggesting formula and flinching, as she expected me to get angry. Nope. I wanted my beautiful girl to have what she needed and bugger anyone elses opinion! So next time you see a mother struggling to feed, or a mother giving her child a bottle – smile, start a conversation, and be supportive of each other!
