one more or not? - Real Mum story on MoM

We have two gorgeous kids and are very lucky and happy. However I still feel like I want one more baby but my husband is adamant that he doesn’t want any more. I know of other people who have had the same problem. One of them stopped at two as her husband wanted but then always felt like the family was incomplete. I don’t want to live with that forever, but I would also feel terrible if we were to have another one and then have my husband resent the things that we couldn’t do or the hard work that a baby (lets face it, a kid of all ages) requires! I do not know how to resolve this while keeping our relationship and family unit happy, loving and intact.

Have you and your husband calmly discussed why he doesn’t want another baby? Is it just an emotional issue and feels he wouldn’t be capable of coping with another child, or does he feel he doesn’t and won’t have the resources to give another child what is needed. It was recently stated that from birth to 18 y.o. a child can cost up to $450.000.00. Don’t know how the figure was calculated. Are you sure you have the strength and will manage to give each child and your husband the time, energy and other needs to another child???

Not really the best question to post on here :/ It’s a dilemma but one that only you and hubby can solve. We can offer advice, but not a solution unfortunately. Hers hoping you have sorted it by now

Its never easy – Maybe look at how things will change if u do have bubs, and if you feel things wont change… also whats happened since your post?
